| I'm taking the biggest exam in my life thus far in T-1 day. | | |
| There's a first time for everything right? Well, it was my first time going about 48 hours without sleep. Haha, it's kinda stupid too because I coulda slept after 24 hours but I was too busy packing. Then I had to wait for the plane. So now I'm home, moved into my sister's room, which is a lot bigger. I don't feel cramped anymore, and it's just so much nicer. I also got my wisdom tooth pulled out! It was completely out, but every once in a while, I would bite into my gum/cheek and it would hurt and cause a sore there for 1-2 weeks. I figure might as well take it out. So I haven't had my teeth pulled out by a dentist in so long, especially since I pulled out most of my teeth myself. So I got a good shot of lidocaine, and before I knew it, it was out. Whoopee for anesthetics. But now I can't talk. And my mouth feels bloody. And I can't rinse or brush for 24 hours. I was at the Asian supermarket when I saw this little 1.5 year old girl. She was smiling and eating a piece of bread and it was just the cutest thing! I started thinking about humans in of itself should be proof enough for intelligent design. Also, my oldest sister Jenny had her baby shower yesterday. She looks so pregnant, but it's cute. I'm going to be an uncle in 2 months! | | |

| In one week, I'll be completely done. Done with 3 years of college, done with my hardest science classes (well, maybe not physics) and saying goodbye to the seniors. I have to rise up to become a senior myself. Wasn't too long ago when I stepped on this campus as an eager freshman. Time, friends, people, and experience really matures you though. I feel like I've grown so much, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually (not physically though, I'm just a bag of meat waiting to lump into bigger lumps of fat because I don't exercise. Spring is definitely here. The whole campus is green and it started getting humid again. I love the sight of life from death, a resurrection of nature. Here's whats left for me: Cancer Grant: 10 pages single space...I'm about halfway done. Due May 17th at noon. Chinese Final: 2.5 hour exam on May 15th Molecular Genetics Lab Manuscript: Due May 17th at 7 pm. Molecular Genetics Lab Notebook: Due May 17th at 7 pm. Molecular Genetics Final: 3 hours of "just shoot me now" exam on May 17th at 7 pm. See a trend? My Wednesday night/Thursday will be so bad.... Anyways, I'm packing and saying goodbyes all Friday and getting back on Saturday May 19th!

| Planetshakers..anyone listen to them? Anyways, it's definitely CRUNCH time! 3 more weeks of classes, but still so far away I feel. This weekend, mainly yesterday and today, was so nice. The weather was like this: sunny, 70's, and light breeze. Perfect shorts, flip-flops and sunglasses weather. Anyways, today MASO had a sushi workshop. It was supposed to start at 1:00 and the professional sushi chef was supposed to get there at 12:30 to set up. Anyways, this guy comes an hour late! How unprofessional! We as part of MASO board felt so embarassed (diu lian...). He came through though, with the good sushi, but still, we felt really rushed. Then, I went to help paint a mural for social change that is going to be displayed at Middlebury's Carr Hall. I feel so good leaving my mark somewhere here on campus. Had dinner with the guys I worked with all afternoon and then headed over to say goodbye to Jaimie. It was this amazing feast of Korean food. Her mom came up and made everything you could imagine. I was so stuffed, but the food kept coming out. Finally, when I had agreed to stop eating, she brought out a fresh plate of kalbee (short ribs) and I broke my promise. Then, she brought out a plate of strawberries and pineapples. I felt like exploding after I was done (actually, I also had a slice of blueberry cheesecake afterwards...must have had 10,000 calories at that meal!). Jaimie, we're going to miss you, and we hope you get better soon! On another note, I know where I'm living next year and what I'm taking. So I'll be living in a 3 person suite in Ross Townhouse D. It's 3 big singles, a nice common space, a full kitchen, and a bathroom. It's pretty sick. So I'm still trying to finish up both of my majors. I'm basically done with my Molecular Biology/Biochemistry major...except for 1st year Physics. HAHA. I've taken all these 300 and 400 level bio and chem courses but still haven't taken 100 level physics. Chinese 425: Advanced Readings of Social Issues in Contemporary China Chinese 370: Traditional Chinese Novels Chemistry 425: Biochemistry of Metabolism Physics 109: Newtonian Physics Also, I'll be TAing for Microbiology and volunteering at Porter Hospital. It's going to be a pretty packed semester! | | |
